What weird food does your family make for the Holidays?

I am having a holiday cocktail party and want to serve some of the strange foods that have somehow become Holiday traditions.

In my family we wrap pickles and cream cheese in ham and throw meatballs in a crockpot with chili sauce and grape jelly.....

Please share your odd family snacks!

  1. My family always has (of all things) oyster stew for breakfast Christmas morning. I think it must be a Virginia thing...

    1. There's always Eggnog that my mother made, but you are about 2 weeks too late. She'd make it from scratch, put it in a big old crock and let it do it's thing in the basement for about 3-4 weeks. Skim off the green scum and serve (and hope you won't be rushed to the Emergency Ward). Fortunately, I hate eggs, so i never drank it.

However, the other staple was bourbon balls.....that, you might try
