What weird food does your family make for the Holidays?
I am having a holiday cocktail party and want to serve some of the strange foods that have somehow become Holiday traditions.
In my family we wrap pickles and cream cheese in ham and throw meatballs in a crockpot with chili sauce and grape jelly.....
Please share your odd family snacks!

Creamed hominy: 2 cans of hominy, 1 pint heavy cream, dash of Tabasco, salt and pepper. Simmer until the cream is reduced and the whole thing is thick. My mother makes it, and her table is the only place I've ever seen it. Yummy, but, weird, I think, to others.

Christmas is time for a crock pot full of chitlins. Used to be Thanksgiving too. Not sure how it went down to only one day a year.

Not exactly cocktail party fare, but where I grew up in Ohio, all the major holidays required chicken and noodles (cooked very thick) served over mashed potatoes. They are the ultimate in comfort food, but my husband from NJ won't touch them due to his fear of the starch coma.
