Bye-bye Emedio's, hello Nico
I only ever got to Emedio's a couple of times at lunch (it was pretty okay), and notice while trolling OpenTable for reservations that its place has been taken by Nico. Wondering if anyone has tried it yet, and whether it's related to the Nico in Melrose.
Menu here: http://www.nicoristoranteboston.com/ Not winning any awards for neighborhood innovation there.

I'm sorry, but that is one of the worst websites I've seen -- thankfully I didn't have the sound on, the visuals were more than enough. The menu looks pretty ho-hum also, I think I'll pass. I'd also be curious to see if anyone's tried it, I would love to have my first impression be wrong.

It's owned by the Strega guy.....enough said. Its a gaudy disco themed restaurant/nightclub.

I've seen his TV commercials: why isn't that place called "Shtrega"? Is it possible to top Strega for amateurish, hideous, eight-disparate-styles-in-a-blender interior design?

Awesome! Waiters uniformed like Tony Manero, Hpnotiq on the bar, David Gest-like overtweezed eyebrows, disco balls, and Roger Clemens (Boston's most beloved sports celebrity).
So, there seems to be plenty of entertainment value here, but is the food any good?

Some friends of mine went and said it was pretty silly. I didn't get details tho.
