Sub for prime rib - Nigella's Ultimate English Lunch
Because my dad hated turkey, we had roast beef Chrstmas day.. I will be making Nigella's ultimate English Sunday lunch for Christmas day but don;t want prime rib. She suggests a sirloin roast - not familiar with this. Is a boneless shell roast as rich as prime rib? (Can;t take the fat cap...)
Also - what can I sub for suet in a Christmas pudding?
Prime rib is really the richest in terms of fat, flavor, and expense!! But, yes, the fat is really fatty!
Sirloin roast for lamb is the top of the leg and is supposed to be very tender? Wegmans web site calls it "boneless sirloin roast" - for beef...
RE; subbing suet - solid vegetable shortening instead. According to the 'experts' - the butter sub makes it too greasy...
