Tips for Dining, Eating, and Food Shopping in Washington, Oregon and Alaska (exc. Seattle and Portland)

Need a nice place Tacoma/SeaTac/South Seattle for dinner?

Need a few suggestions for a nice, preferably quiet, moderately priced place for dinner for my wife and I. We don't get out much, and I want to take her somewhere nice. Cozy warm atmosphere is a plus. Steak, seafood, Italian, French, we will consider just about anything. We are coming from Olympia, and will be staying at a hotel in the SeaTac area on Friday night, before she has a flight on Saturday morning. thanks for your help

  1. Vinoman, Maxwell's at 6th and St. Helens (downtown Tacoma) is a great Chowhound destination. For Italian, Marzano's in Parkland offers a warm atmosphere that is as genuine as the food. (You will need reservations even weeknights.) The Cliffhouse is a little spendy, but offers excellent food with unbeatable atmosphere.

Leper, thanks. I have not heard of Marzano's before, will have to try.

    2. A great Italian place right near the airport is Osteria da Primo, in Burien.
