Farmers Diner coming to Middlebury, VT
I just read that Tod Murphy will be opening a new branch of the Farmers Diner in Middlebury this spring, apparently in the former Tully and Marie's location. I didn't feel that the diner in Quechee quite lived up to all the hype, but I'm hoping that this will be a nice asset to the Middlebury dining scene. We could use a solid brunch spot!

my impression was always that the locally sourced food came at the expense of service (at least back when it was on main st in barre). which is really too bad. the waitstaff were really nice, they just didn't seem on top of stuff. the food was pretty good though. and the coffee! not local (Dancing Goat) was pretty darn tasty.
wish it had stayed in Barre VT. s'pose todd can't be blamed for going where the money is though...
