Does anyone know of a great martini bar?

Nic's has an impressive martini menu and amazing Belgian fries, but the martinis are borderline nonalcoholic.

      I'd go with Lola's.

    2. Lola's on Fairfax is known for their martinis.

      1. Musso & Frank

I'm with you on M&F. I think their secret is that they pour good gin (Beefeater) over a ton of ice and get the gin really cold. Then they strain it into a beaker.

        2. For gin martinis (if you want vodka, you might as well mix it with eggnog for all the flavor it has), my top picks are:
          1. Musso & Franks
          2. Pacific Dining Car (Santa Monica)
          3. Father's Office (Culver City)

I remember seeing Manhattan, old fashioned, side car, aviation at FO in Culver City (and drinking all of them in 1 night)
            but not Martinis...

From J Gold's FOLA review: "the bartenders seem happy to explain the comparative hoppiness of Quebec ales or the exact components of a Father’s Office martini, which is made with white Lillet in place of vermouth, homemade orange bitters and your choice of artisanal gins"

          2. Another vote for Lolas!
            Nic's is okay.
