Whole Foods 'kids' cupcakes

SpicyTea Dec 9, 2008 06:18 PM

There's been so much fascination with cupcakes in recent times. I've enjoyed many a fancy one, but with reservations. They're just so expensive . . . and sometimes even small. And occasionally, not very good. After many months of research and travel to out of my way cupcake destinations, I've settled on the ones that come 6 to a pack at Whole Foods. The vanilla and chocolate both offer a nice crumb, and the frostings are creamy and only occasionally too sweet. They're affordable. They come in multiples. You can sit down and eat them on site, with good cup of coffee from the cafe, or you can take them home and share. They don't break the bank, they usually have parking lots attached, and the 'kids' sticker peels right off, should that be a deal-breaker for you. My dog just licked the plate, and hubby just said "That was a REALLY good one." Nuff said.

Those are my favorites for the reasons you state. Yummy!

Amen! I like that you can just buy one. And they are good. They also often have vegan ones, which in fact I prefer in the chocolate version (even though I am not vegan!).

It's a nice affordable treat once in awhile!

I'm with you on this one. They're 6 for $6, or you can by 1 for $1.29. The frosting is made with real butter and cream. Bigs thumbs up from me.
