Adult-friendly downtown, great food, good atmosphere

Going to dinner downtown with my parents and we want to pick a place that is worth a trip downtown for them. We have enjoyed Apizz and 5 Points together and we are looking for something similar (not Orchard or Peasant). Anything below 14th, non-Asian, good atmosphere but most importantly great food. Type of restaurant experiance you can not get uptown.

* start off with cocktails and scallop sliders at pegu club and then get dinner at raoul's or blue ribbon (soho).

* start off with cocktails at the brandy library and then get dinner at landmarc (tribeca).
