Tacos El Paisa San Diego (Fire Update)

One of San Diego’s top taquerias and my favorite spot (Tacos El Paisa 3069 National Ave)
has experienced a fire. 2 weeks ago I received a call from my brother stating he saw a truck up in flames on the news. He said it looked like El Paisa. I just brushed it off hoping it was not. Several sources have now confirmed it is in fact El Paisa. I hope to get more info soon, but apparently they are closed :(

So I finally checked it out today and talked to my favorite taquero. They did infact have a fire apparently some one left a burner on in the truck. The truck was totaled and they closed for a week.

I noticed when I pulled up today a different looking truck spotless and brand new. I’m happy to say everything is back in full effect and just as good as ever.

I drove by tonight and everything seemed in order - al pastor proudly displayed!

I don't think so, unless it happened between Saturday and this morning. I ate there on Saturday around 1:00 pm.

avagax did you dine inside or at the truck? Was the truck still present? They were closed last Saturday they could have possibly re-opened already that’s what I’m trying to find out. thx.

I ate outside at the truck. Everything seemed business as usual.
