Tango, Glastonbury CT
Just got back from my third visit to Tango. I highly recommend that you give it a try. I haven't had a bad dish yet. I had the mixed grill the first time. Delicious but plain. Lamb the next time, excellent. This time I started with shrimp ceviche which was fantastic (on the tapas menu, which I had to ask for), followed by a duck breast/ leg combo with a subtle blueberry sauce that totally hit the spot.
Argentinian/Italian cuisine? Never really thought about it, but I'm three for three at Tango, and that doesn't happen to me very often. Given the track record of changes there (Bambaleo, Glas, now Tango), it would probably be best to go sooner rather than later, but I hope that they will be around for the long haul.

The courant last week had some one write into their Calendar section on Tango and they complained that the service was terrible. I had never seen this feature in the Courant before where they print letters with restaurant reviews so I was a bit surprised when I read this. My wife has been and said the service was slow and she did not recommend it. Now though she is saying she wants to go back. We will see how it does. Jay

We haven't experienced any slow service issues there, but its always been Saturday night, and maybe they have been geared up for it.. One time my wife's scallops wern't as hot as they could have been. No big deal, as we told our server. We routinely provide that kind of feedback just so they know. The manager insisted that she get a new plate even though she was halfway through the dish (I told my wife to tell them the second one was too hot to see if she would get a third).

Was at Tango a few weeks ago - yes, it was good when it first opened but now both the food and service are sub par. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

Have to totally agree. We tried it recently and were very disappointed with the food. The dishes we loved were absent from the menu and others were unrecognizable. Obviously there must have been a change of chefs.
Skip Tango.

I saw in the paper that Tango just reopened. I did not know it had even closed until one of my coworkers went to eat there a couple of weeks ago. I know one of the owners had died and that they were going to keep going. Anyone been over there recently? Jay

I've been there for lunch a few times. They have a very nice outdoor patio. The staff is great here, they have a lot of experience and are very friendly. The food is great. I've had their home made pasta dishes as well as a simple BLT and all were great.
