Potrero Hill: Delivery/Pickup for large party

pgwiz1 Dec 5, 2008 02:50 PM

San Francisco Hounders, I need help. I am helping plan my friend's 30th birthday party, and we are hoping to get food delievered or picked up for about 30 or so people. We want something no hassle and nothing super fancy. We'll have a mix of kids, so the food should be kid friendly. I was thinking down the lines of a italian place where we can get a tray of baked pasta or something similar? Other ideas are also welcome. The party will be at my friend's house in Potrero Hill. Thanks!

Mission Bay Foods did a great job catering a political party I threw this summer in Potrero Hill.

The food arrived on time, freshly made, and tasting great. They have a few different restaurants that you can order from. I opted for platters of mini burritos and mini quesadillas from Dos Pinas, their taqueria. Served with buckets of chips and copious quantities of their fresh salsa and guac, these fingerable comestibles made for very happy guests.

What about bucca di beppo's at what is it, 4th and folsom or so? I bet two entree platters would satisfy the kids. Then pick up a selection of thai from Lingba Lounge at 16th and ... connecticut, the most underrated thai place in all of san francisco, for those over the age of 10.

You just can't satisfy both palates. Don't try. Two stops won't kill you.
