Delaney's Newport Beach is open !

Same old owner, family, menu, CLAM CHOWDER. I have always thought Delaney's clam chowder was unparalleled, rough around the edges, a real fisherman's grope! The same recipe that has just a hint of tarragon in it, very fresh clams and overcooked celery. Dip in the garlic bread and it's just a memory of goodness.

Great location, slow start, http://www.delaneysnewport.com/

Want retrograde? Delaney's

Great News KC. Missed them. Do they still have the good salad dressing too? I am trying to figure out the location.

Their location is on the Lido boardwalk (Via Opporto). They are bayfront via the first walkthru on Via Opporto from the main street Via Lido. Small and dark on this inside. Boardwalk tables outside.

I don't know what dressing you like, but they have all their original recipes. It's very retro, even the plating style. A blast from the past. And, 10 cents for a morning cup of coffee with breakfast. That opens at 8 am.

Anyway, you'll see their movable A-sign on the right on the brick drive as you enter from Via Lido. That's how I found them when I went for my haircut.

And, now it's closed. ! LOL That was fast.
The French bistro along the boardwalk is good if you want to hang in that area and watch the yachts in the docks.

Um - so it has become the Newport Beach Brewing Company?
I guess my boss is woefully behind the times, she probably found out tonight!
