quick and delicious near 930 club?
going to a show here tonight but no time to come home beforehand. obviously we'll be imbibing at the club and dancing around a little, so something light and cheap but delicious and quick would be perfect. any ideas?

you can eat light at busboys and poets on 14th.
That Duffy's irish bar has surprisingly good food.
The FASTEST in the area won't be light (Ben's).

I really like Duffy's - the fish and chips usually are very good Wife's had the shepard's pie and liked it (of course, that's not all that light).

we actually noshed AT the 930 last time we went- surprisingly good panini sandwiches! gotta be there early- it took awhile to be served, but it was passable as far as bar/club food goes....
14th and U- Tabaq bistro- excellent Mediterranean mezza, glass encased rooftop bar with a gorgeous panoramic view of DC... great import beers and a variety of mojitos and vodkas...

You want The Greek Spot at 2017 11th Street. Excellent cheap Greek food. I've had worse at three-times the price.
There's also Dan the Man's Teriyaki and Subs, 1936 9th St NW. Good cheap Korean food, and the subs are tasty.
Duffy's is also good, cheap, and quick. Depending on the crowds, Ben's can get slow on a Friday night.

I was going to suggest that too. You could always go to Whole Foods on P and 14th, too.

If you're going that far down, you have Stoney's. Provides a walk afterwards, I guess.

thanks so much for all the great tips! being korean i think i'm definitely leaning toward dan the man's (i love hole-in-the-wall korean — it's the best) but will report back after the show sometime this weekend! who knows what we might end up doing!
