Woburn....close to Burlington, tho. In the Whole Foods plaza.....
BTW, that little liquor store there has Taza chocolate for $1 less than WF.....in case you find yourself there for any reason....

Actually, it's Woburn on the Winchester line, on Cambridge Rd (Rt 3 - yes, it IS called 3; it's only 3A on the north side of 128 and that is why people heading for the South Shore always get lost at that exit). Just a stone's throw south of the plaza is Mahoney's Rocky Ledge Nursery, and closer to 128 is Roche Bros. supermarket, for anyone making a special trip to the area. Giles Liquors is more interested in wine than typical smaller liquor stores. They periodically have tastings, and were very obliging the time I asked if they could special-order a case of New Zealand riesling for me. When the Whole Foods was opened, press releases said it is the largest one in the area - maybe New England or the east coast, I can't recall.

Fyi re WF Woburn, we live in Winchester but prefer to shop at Fr Pond WF because the Wob WF lacks so many of the items we use. unfortunately.

Won't they stock them at the Woburn store?

I'm curious as to what... We live in Melrose and shopped at River Street but happily switched to Woburn when it opened.

Trout, skate,, wh wht pastry flour, various cheeses, the turkey meatloaf special in nov., chanterelles and other wild mushrooms, various cheeses, lg.iggy's francese bread , certain bakery items, specialty holiday panfortes,and..........too many. whatever the item, Fr Pond has almost always had it when woburn WF has not. But hey, if woburn WF satisfies your shopp. list, that's lucky for you.
River st.? YECH. what a shoe box.!

Way OT now, but does Fresh Pond have skate regularly? I only saw it at Woburn once, and I check every time. I'll make that trip. Never missed any wild or exotic mushrooms at Woburn, though.

I almost always see it there; it seems I've seen it at some of the others (maybe even Brighton, once in awhile), but I just can't place them right now...

Ha! I live in North Cambridge but prefer to shop at the Woburn WF because it's not such a madhouse. :-) (Okay, now I go to the Medford one, but I used to go to the Woburn one pretty often.)

I was in the restaurant this past week and it looks great. The owner confirmed that they will open this Friday, 12/12.

I walked by tonight and there were dishes on the tables and everything looked good to go.
