<content>Rosamunde is now maybe my favorite ultra-cheap recession dining spot. Within walking distance of my apartment, it offers good food, ultra-cheap, and with the added benefit of a robust relationship with Toronado, my favorite bar where the bartenders are kinda gruff and abrasive but the selections so good I have to (literally) suck it up.

My standard order is a wild boar sausage with everything plus mango chutney. "Everything" means sweet and hot peppers plus cooked onions. I also like a bit of hot mustard. They've got beer sausages, bratwurst, duck and fig, even a vegan sausage, clocking in at around six clams for a hearty meal.

For those who aren't familiar with the place, Rosamunde is tiny, a walk-up shop with maybe 8 counter seats against the wall. You can ask for your order to go to Toronado, and they'll either call your name or bang on the shared wall when it's ready. I love to decipher which bang means "pane!"

Also of note, Tuesday is hamburger day, with a line that stretches down the block to order hamburgers they only toss on the grill that day at lunch. I like the charred taste of the hamburgers very much, but can't say I buy their claims of being the best in the city.
