I'm sick, need soup in Center City

  • 7

Near Broad and Walnut, can't walk too far (I'm sick remember?)...where can I get the best soup? Thanks.

  1. Is there an Au Bon Pain near you? They have eleventy-seven different varieties, all pretty good, and you can even mix 'em up if you like. How about DuJour?

    1. There used to be a soup place in the Bellevue's food court, not sure if it's still there.

I'd also recommend the matzo ball soup at any of the Marathon Grill locations, or a nice bowl of tempura soba at Genji.

Thanks for the recommendations. Full of Soup at The Bellevue closed a couple of years ago. Other places have soup but I've eaten there so many times...

Just got back from DuJour...it's quite nice. I bought some butternut squash soup with apple slaw. Pricey at $6 but I'm sick (did I mention that?) so I'll throw money at anything to get well.

That's a shame about full of soup. I used to love their soft pretzels.

I just had to mention that today I stopped at Marathon (probably b/c of this thread) and had some roasted tomato chipotle soup which was delicious. I'm not a huge fan of their food, but their soups and salads are very good.

You need to visit your friendly local Trader Joe's when you get better (I heard you were sick). They have some yummy soups in those waxy cardboard containers that fit very nicely on your shelf & fight germs (did you say your were sick?) in a comfy sort of way when you are in no shape to go out.
