Wedding Catering

I just wanted to get some suggestions from some Hounds here on a good restaurant that might cater small private events. We're planning a wedding reception of only 25-30 people and would like a nice, formal dinner. It's up in western Malibu, so somewhere Westside preferably. Right now, the two places we're considering in Josie and JiRaffe. So, with that in mind, places that offer similar cuisine.

Any thoughts?

Give Auntie Em's a call (in Eagle Rock) or check their website. They do a terrific job and really work with you to create what you want. Great food and lovely people.

Would you be interested in a californian cuisine as well as sushi for your wedding?

Absolutely Californian cuisine, and perhaps some sushi dish as an hors d’oeuvre with a slight Japanese-themed course to go with it, but I don't think we'd want an entire sushi meal for the main course (if any of that makes sense). Why? Anything in mind?

i'd ask the folks at cafe del rey in marina del rey if they would be interested in the job; their food style is asian fusion.
jiraffe, is primarily french-inspired food, and imho much heavier than cafe del rey food.
