Good restaurant in Bayridge for office dinner.

Hi, all. I am looking for a good restaurant in Bayridge to take office staff for holiday dinner.

Good food, nice atmosphere, not too noisy. There are are six of us, ranging in age from 25 - 85!

Have done this over the years but the food in Bayridge often is disappointing. All suggestions most welcome. Thanks.

I'd say Saint Germain or Tamoreen.

I second Tanoreen. It may not have a "holiday vibe" but they have great food and it's BYOB! You can save a few extra $$.

Id also second Tanoreen or Agnanti -- excellent Greek and spacious, so no problem getting a table. Tuscany Grill is also top notch, but would likely need a reservation as it can get crowded.

I would suggest Tanoreen- don't get me wrong, I love the food, but the directive was not too noisy. The noise level is often out of control.

The 3 requests were good food, not too noisy and nice atmosphere. Tanoreen has good food but falls far short of the other 2 requests. If it is a Monday night stay far away from Lai Yuen's because they do a Monday Night Football thing and it is really loud with sports fans. The Tuscany Grill on 3rd Between 85th & 86th has good food and is quiet with a nice atmophere but I would be concerned about the size of the space so check that first. I agree with the Pearl Room as having very attentive service and good food.

Depending on when you go- the Pearl Room has been my place of choice. I did a lunch a few months ago and we basically had the place to ourselves. We took over one of the back rooms. Food is interesting but not fussy.

Have been looking on line at your suggestions. Think we need something a little larger, w/ good food. Petit Oven sounds good but so small...might not have that holiday vibe, esp on a week night.
Any more suggestions most welcome. Thanks.

Have plugged them before, but why not try Petit Oven. It has been a couple of months since I have been there, but the 4 meals I have had there have been great. Small restaurant, and I think they have a wine license now. Believe it is still $35 for a 3 course prefix

Cebu has good food and a nice dining room. Also, I haven't been there for years, not sure if it's there, but Sam's had excellent food and an interesting cozy room. I'd skip MyThai, food is so-so. There's a French restaurant, St. Germain?, that would work and the food is good as well.

              I live in Bay Ridge
and altho I have never been there, I hear good things about Lai Yuen (4th Ave and 101st, I think)
              I have been to Turqua (3rd and 99th, I think) Excellent med/turkish
MyThai on 3rd and 77th (I think, sorry, I never seem to know the exact cross street, but always the rite ave)

btw you can also go to bayridgetalk.com and check threads and ask questions there
