Sunday Night Dinner in Downtown Dallas - Help!

everydayfoodie Dec 3, 2008 04:06 PM

Hi all - We'll be traveling to Dallas from Austin for the King Tut exhibit and staying downtown on a Sunday night. I'm looking for a nice place for dinner that has good food and good service, but that isn't as expensive as a Mansion or Stephen Pyles. Several of the places I've looked at are closed (Tramontana, Suze, Local). Are there some gems I'm missing? I'd like to avoid Tex-Mex and BBQ but am otherwise open.

Thanks in advance for suggestions!

Not far from downtown off 75 and Henderson is "Hectors on Henderson", delightful with interesting and eclectic menu....Love the place..Not cheap but much cheaper than ones that you mentioned....Cheaper still is across the street from Hectors called "The Porch", where everything from a great burger to beef stroganoff can be had...Food is tops, place is casual and a bit loud, but quality and price a winner
