New Diner in SoNo???

I passed by Habana today and they are closed down(as I know), but there are signs up saying "Diner Coming Soon." This is great news. South Norwalk needs a place like that badly. Personally, I think it would have been perfect where Goccia is, right across from the aquarium, but it's still downtown, so that's good. Anyone know anything about this?

OK OK, they own diners, that's a good start. I hope it's something decent like City Limits or something like that.

They are the same ones who own the Parkway diner on High Ridge Rd. in Stamford.

I walked by today and they're still working on the inside. So far it just looks kinda BLAH, like any other nondescript diner. Vinyl booths/chairs and very, very, very bright florescent lights. I have no bigger pet peeve than dining under bright lights. So, I would say, just by walking by and making an outside observation, the lighting is terribly me at least. I know this may not sound like a big deal but hey, this is Fairfield county. This is near "restaurant row" in FFC. Even for a diner, people expect something just a little above average.

    2. Excellent, excellent news!

I tend to favor solid, substantial places with no particular provenance over the trendy and overpriced that vanish in the twinkling of an eye.
