Looking for a place to have great bouillabaisse in the city.

I've read some raves about the one at Le Gigot - haven't tried it there myself, but love the restaurant.

That was me-can confirm the bouillabaisse at Le Gigot is fantastic. As it's right next door to Pearl, we should do a side by side comparison.

        That would be fun!

Wanted to add - I noticed on Saturday that Le Gigot is offering a three course, $45 prix fixe - nice selections, including bouillabaisse.

Chez Napoleon on west 50th. Very rich! And the kindly waitress will mix in the rouille for you.

I really love the bouillabaisse at Pearl Oyster Bar. It's always a very difficult toss up for me whether to have the bouillabaisse or lobster roll. The latter usually wins out, but on the few times I have had the bouillabaisse it has been super.

Now that you mention it, my husband also really likes their bouillabaisse. I always get the lobster roll.

I can confirm that the Pearl makes an amazingly good bouillabaisse, one of the best I've ever had. The rouille on the croton is perfect.
