Cupcake Deliveries
Hi all--I'm looking to deliver cupcakes to my husband's office (East Cambridge) on Friday for his birthday. I searched the Board and didn't see this topic addressed previously (I get the sense that there is a general consensus that the Boston cupcake scene needs improvement). Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
Google Party Favors in Brookline. Their cupcakes melt in your mouth. they are located off of Beacon St.

I think Sweet delivers . . . I've seen their van down by my office in the financial district. Their cupcakes are delicious!

We got our wedding cake (cupcakes) from there -- they delivered (but obviously big order) and everyone (including the biggest cupcake snobs) just LOVED them!!

we had sweet delivered for an office retirement party last night and they are great! more than that, they are adorable. at least 7 or 8 people skipped the food and headed straight for the cupcakes.

Sweet is Boston's only cupcake shop at the moment, and they deliver- www.sweetboston.com

really? what happened to kickass cupcakes in somerville? we got cupcakes from them about 2 days ago. i know i've seen a car tooling around with their logo on it, so maybe they deliver too.

Kickass Cupcakes is in Somerville, not Boston, though. And Party Favors (which Christine27 mentions above) is in Brookline - not to mention, I don't think they deliver.

Exactly. Thanks for the clarification, Allstonian.

Although Lulu's is in Boston, and they deliver. There's the unfortunate matter that their cupcakes are kinda awful, though, which is why I haven't mentioned them yet.

Since the office is in East Cambridge, is Somerville out of range?
I think Kickass Cupcakes delivers:

They do have a custom Kick*Ass car, too, so I'm pretty sure they do.

Your sense of the Boston cupcake scene is correct. Make your own or go to Lyndell's in Ball Square, Somerville and get old-school, cheap and tasty cupcakes. Kickass sucks really really hard. Lulu's is not so great. And Sweet is seriously hit-or-miss. All are overpriced. Alas, we have no Magnolia Bakery level cupcakes here in Boston yet.

i'd imagine that the OP figured her cupcake situation by now. in any case, i think kickass cupcakes are pretty good and that lyndell's sucks big time, so there you go.
anyway, the whole notion of a "cupcake scene" is absurd. it's a fad that ran its course years ago.

The cupcakes at Susu's Bakery in Wellesley are phenomenal. Not exactly in Boston but close by.

Two good places for cupcakes -- petsi's in somerville and quedabra in arlington. I'm not sure if either deliver.
