Go try a slice from the Bleecker location and see what you think.
Two Boots had a lot of fans during the 90's. The cornbread crust is crispy, the sauce is well spiced. It's not my first choice but I don't get why anyone thinks it's outright bad.

Agree, I have had much worse pizza in MANY places. Its just unusual but can be good, esp if you like spicy food.

I'm from New Orleans, and I say "nay." I tried the grand central station location when I was in NYC last year and didn't like it at all. But I suppose it depends on your preference - I just don't like all that cornmeal in the crust and dusted on the bottom of the pizza. Yuck.

I like the unorthodox cajun toppings. The jalapeno pesto makes my forehead bead up a bit.

But the cornmeal absolutely ruins it for me too. I think cornmeal on the bottom of a pizza is one of the greatest culinary sins, for which there is no pizza puragtory. It's straight to hell.

What's wrong with cornmeal? You don't like the taste?

Still love the Bayou Beast-sopressata, andouille, jalapeno and crawfish. mmmmm!

I wouldn't seek it out, but I like it fine. The toppings are good, and I have an irrational love of cornmeal.

Yuck. Bizarre (obviously, it's a love it or hate it thing).

                YAY--
my kids are ne haveners and pretty good at pizza-- we all love it at GC
caveat-- GC moves fast so it is fresh

A qualified yay. It's really stretching my definition of pizza, but I do enjoy the occasional slice of the Tony Clifton with some andouille sausage added.

Definitely yay! But only the newman or big maybelle and only after 6 or 7 beers...:)
