I apologize if I have already sent you this message but I just discovered a cool website you might like. It is savannahoffthebeatenpath.com. I don't know how I have never seen this site. We lived near Savannah for a short while recently and I wish I had all this information then.

Just north of Charleston in Mt. Pleasant is Gullah Cuisine. http://www.gullahcuisine.com/

Go for the lunch buffet. Excellent collards and stewed okra.

In Savannah, you have two choices. 1) Sweet Potatoes Kitchen has the best veggie platter I've had in my life (collards, sweet potato souffle, limas, mac& cheese, etc.) http://www.toucancafe.com/sweetP.html

      2) If you're willing to go early and stand in line for lunch, Mrs. Wilkes has some of the best Southern food anywhere, done family style: http://www.mrswilkes.com/
