Good place in SF for a nightcap?

I posted earlier...but should add some clarifications to the description. I am looking for a place to take the parents after a day of doing some touristy Christmas stuff in the city. After dinner and after looking at the Christmas lights, I would like to take them somewhere for a nightcap. I am looking for something cozy, casual, and off the beaten path but also close to areas such as Union Square, North Beach, Financial District, or Embarcadero. We have been to Buena Vista before and they liked that very much. Maybe something neighborhoody with a similar feel. Nothing in a "bar scene" or "super swanky"....something comfortable and cozy to top off a perfect winter night!

The other thread nailed it -- Top of the Mark or Big 4. Otherwise, try Tunnel Top. Not a lot of cozy places that are mom and dad friend in that area. Mostly tourist stuff there.

Lefty O'Doul's on Geary or Oak Room at St. Francis Hotel Union Square.
