Rosslyn/Arlington's Best Restaurant?
I'm looking for good restaurants around Rosslyn and Clarendon. It is going to be my anniversary weekend with my girlfriend, soon to be fiancee. We are spending a whole weekend around Rosslyn. I just need suggestions from regular restaurants to high end restaurants. I'm up for anything from Asian food to Italian to steakhouse and so on.....

Ray's the Steaks is great. Guajillo is good. Liberty Tavern and Eleventh St Lounge both have good food, so does Sette Bello. I used to really like Tallulah, but last time I had brunch there it seemed like it was slipping from what it used to be... I hope it was just a bad meal.

Nam Viet is a fave of ours. Also, for a good tacqueria, take a stroll south from Clarendon on Washington to just pass Pershing and grab a chorizo burrito or taco at El Charritto Caminante. Goat, pork and beef are also good, but pass on the (boiled) chicken.
About 2/3 along that route you'll see Tallulah and Eat Bar (same place) which should also be on your list.

Ray's is def awesome. In Clarendon, Liberty Tavern is great, Spider Kelly is decent bar fare, Delhi club is good Indian. Nam Viet is there (I like Minh's better). Boccato has pretty good gelato.

You have tons of choices in the area...minhs, rays the steaks, rays hell burger, pho 75, guajillo, kabob bazaar, faccia luna/piola are decent for pizza...and others.
If I only went to two places they would be ray's hell burger (a must-go-to if you've never been) and minhs (get the northern style grilled pork and black sticky rice for dessert).

re: flipeatery
It's really that good. They don't take reservations in the usual way but you can stop by after 4 PM and get your name on a list for a time slot that evening.
It's been moving for about a year and a half now, so it'll probably be there for another month. And when it moves, it isn't moving that far anyway, and there will be another Ray's (last reasonably substantiated rumor was fish) in the original location.
The burger place takes no names and has no waiting list, but tables turn over pretty quickly. I've always had a table and food within about 20 minutes, though I'll admit to one time when the line to the counter was nearly to the door, I didn't stay to see how long it would take. Plenty of other choices just a few steps away.

I'll second that- it really is that good. I just went again on Sunday night w/ my fiance and his parents. It usually does have quite a wait (unless you do the 4 pm sign-up thing), but on Sun. we only waited 15 min and that was at 7:15. I think Sun. is a great night to go as they have fixed price menus that are well-priced and still have a good selection of their best cuts. They also had a special on Sun. that was amazing, if they offer it again, get it. I believe it was called "something Rossini" (probably filet), but it had a nice slab of foie gras on top of the filet and a wonderful sweet (maybe madera?) mushroom sauce. And always, always get the chocolate mouse.
Another tip, if you do have a wait- go next door to Guajillo for some sangria. But if you do, make sure you each order a drink, they get really touchy if you try to share. Which of course is understandable, but kind of rough when their bowls of sangria are huge and you only have 10 min to suck one down. That made for an awkward second half of the evening with the in-laws, that stuff can hit you pretty hard. Oops.
