ISO: Caramel Fleur De Sel Cookie Recipe

Doesn't that sound good? I may have just made it up because after many different searches I did not really come up with anything. Does any one have any recipes or suggestions to adapt an old recipe to?

Might be good with chocolate in it, too. I am looking to "WOW" the crowd at the annual cookie exchange again. In case anyone remembers last years bacon cookie fiasco...http://chowhound.chow.com/topics/466950

  1. You could make sandwich cookies with Dorie Greenspans World Peace cookies (perfect theme for Christmas time) and fill with caramel fleur de sel frosting. I've also liked the world peace cookies w/out chocolate, replacing the cocoa w/ flour. I sprinkled fleur de sel over those and they were great.

If you want to go all out, I'd do the World Peace cookies w/out chocolate, fill w/ the caramel frosting and make a ganache and dip half the cookie in it. Sprinkle toffee bits (and nuts maybe) on the chocolate.
