Tahini Cole Slaw Dressing??

Looking for a creamy dressing for cole slaw. Tired of mayo. Has anyone tried tahini?

I often make coleslaw with a tahini dressing. Use this as a jumping-off point:

    1/4 cup tahini
    1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
    2 tablespoons olive oil
    2 tablespoons fresh chopped parsley
    1 tablespoon sugar or honey
    2 garlic cloves, minced
juice and zest of one lemon
    salt and pepper to taste

It's all about adjusting it to suit your tastes. I prefer mine to be a little bit sour, so I add more vinegar. Just keep adjusting things until you get the right consistency. It's sooo good! You could also substitute soy sauce for the salt, which gives it a really great flavor.

I made one with yogurt the other day that was pretty good - a bit of tahini along with it might be tasty, especially if you went with cumin/coriander/other middle eastern type spices.

I was watching a show called Diners, Drive-ins and Drives and the host visited a restaurant where the chef made a red cabbage slaw with tahini. It starts around the 5:10 mark. It looks pretty good but there are no measurements.

          red cabbage
          carrots
          red peppers
          green peppers

          Dressing:
          water
          lemon juice
          honey
          yogurt
          tahini
          cilantro
          salt and pepper

i'm not getting a great feeling from that combo.

although sesame paste with a little toasted sesame oil might be interesting. (i'm thinking that stir fried cabbage with a little sesame oil and rice wine vinegar is good...)
