Fish and Chips Monterey area

Can anyone recommend a place for the best fish and chips in the Monterey area? I've been here almost a year and have yet to try a really good version. Thanks for all help!

The best fish and chips I've had so far in the area is at the CArmel location of Sea Harvest. You have a choice of fish types and our favorite is sand dabs. The fries are the skinny, very crisp battered type. Neither the Moss Landing nor Monterey locations offer the sand dabs or battered fries.

the crown and anchor has very good fish and chips. it's on west franklin street.

based on Melanie Wong's report, you might try the Monterey Airport restaurant. Sounds like they know how to treat fish.

i've eaten at the airport. the tee is surprisingly good.

I haven't tried their fish/chips, but Sandbar and Grill on the commercial pier has great seafood.
