Sushi Axiom on Henderson

margiehubbard Nov 30, 2008 02:53 PM

Now that it's been open for a while, any thoughts? I have basically only tried the sushi, rolls and few appetizers and haven't been disappointed. Anyone been? Any suggestions?

Also, where do I buy sushi grade fish and roe for home preparation?

Sushi Axiom is now our favorite sushi place (in part because it is fairly close to where we live, but principally for the quality of the sushi and sashimi). Haven't been disappointed by anything there, and each time we try new things. Very friendly staff and lovely decor, to boot. A great addition to the Knox-Henderson lineup.

sushi grade fish and roe can be found at SeaBose in Carrollton (Trinity Mills and Marsh)

I've bought "sushi grade" tuna at Sprout's. I don't know that there's any official standards or anything for "sushi grade" though. It seems to be largely a marketing gimmick..
