Lag on post with 70 or more replies
I seem to be experiencing a lot of lag on post with 70 or more replies with various browsers on various machines. I searched for a lag on post topic and the results came up with nothing related. Can you please tell me why this happens on your boards. Is this a server issue? It's getting to the point where I don't even bother looking or replying to any post with messages over 40/50 post to avoid this problem.
Thanks in advance for responding.

I think it depends on which server you hit. Here's as current thread on the Technical help board on the issue,

I try to remember to not try to open posts where the latest reply was posted less than 15 minutes ago.

Thanks for the reply but it more happens anytime there are over 65-70 post. It chugs and lags. It's not a browser issue or a connection issue. It must be a server issue. I think they are in need of upgrading their servers.

It sounds like your lag is different from the lag Melanie linked to. Do you mean it takes time for the board to load? I've had that problem since the site switched to this software two years ago.
The lag noted in the link has to do with replies not being displayed for about 15 or more minutes. So the 'new'; flag is displayed. For example, there should be three replies but there are only two. I haven't found a difference in terms of number of posts. The same lag happens to the posts with a handfull of replies as well as those with 70 or more.

yes thats what I mean. It won't allow me to scroll down to see the newer replies. The post show up but scroling down to the bottom doesn't work and when it does its very slow.
