Portland OR - Gift Certificate to a Restaurant

Greetings from CT.
We want to give a restaurant gift certificate to my husband's sister and her husband but don't know the area.
They like fancy schmancy or casual equally and are pretty into trying anything and everything.
We'd like to spend about $100 - maybe up to $125.
We've searched your boards but can't make up our minds...Carlyle, Tabla, Jake's...just don't know.
We want to wow them with a holiday present that they can really enjoy.
Thanks for your help.

Happy Holidays to all.

Thank you all for your wonderful ideas.
We've decided on Ten 01 - and have already contacted them.
    Merry, merry...and thanks again.

Higher end dining: Ten01 (New American), Sel Gris (Contemporary), Alba Osteria (Piedmontese Italian), Toro Bravo (Tapas) and Lucier (Contemporary) would my suggestions. All five are doable with $100 but if you want to help pay for the wine bill, you definitely should bump it up.

Casual dining: Pok Pok (Regional Thai), Nuestra Cocina (Mexican), Silk (Gentrified Vietnamese), Tanuki (Japanese Pub). Definitely doable with $100.

Carlyle or Ten01 and make it $125.

Can you say anything about their taste?
I suggest Carlyle, Lauro, Tabla, Vindalho, Wildwood, Paley's, Noble Rot, Ten01, Navarre.
More adventurous: Pok Pok, Hiroshi (better make it $125 for that one!), Siam Society.
          Jake's is a tourist trap.
