Breakfast near Newark/Elizabeth

Hi there,
Will be in transit by car on a saturday morning near EWR and in need of a good breakfast with the family. I read about strong coffee and custard cups in the Ironbound section, but couldn't find specific restaurants open for breakfast. Any recommendations for something good and Chowhound-worthy in the area?
Cheers!

Delicia's on Ferry Street has awesome coffee and custard cups (natas). Also, Cafe, Cafe on Chestnut Street. Je's on Halsey Street has amazing southern breakfast (grits, eggs with cheese, etc.). Make sure you ask for "hot onions" to put on top of your eggs. It's an amazing fresh mixture of cilantro, jalapenos, onions and tomatoes. Delicious!
