Momofuko Noodle Bar and Milk Bar-Recent Vist Review

Just went yesterday to both. Its been a while since I went to noodle bar so decided to try again. Everything I had seemed as good but what struck me most was I thought the quality of the Ramen preparation was MUCH better than my first visit almost two years ago. Had the Romanesu cauliflower with pine nuts to start -which was pretty straightforward and guilt free. Second course was the smokey chicken wings-delicious as before. The Ramen with shredded pok shoulder was decines-the broth rich and hearty I couldn't get enough of it. I did dip chicken wings in to that hot sauce the provide in little squeeze bottle and whenever I have spicey foods, I crave something sweet after. ....SO I headed over to thier new MILK BAR located next to Momofuko Saam-I bought a dozen cookies but before they boxed cookies I sampled the one called Compost. SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO DAMM GOOD!!!! I gobbled the whole thing in few seconds. Full of nuts and tasted a bit like caramel. Can't wait to taste the others-but rationionig out for next few days.

  1. I've never been to Momofuku Noodle Bar. How does it compare to Ssam Bar in terms of price?

Prices are pretty much the same.

Noodle Bar is much cheaper of a meal if you order only the noodles and maybe 1 side to share. But I think you're cheating yourself if you only order the ramen. Order the other dishes and they are more impressive, but, the prices are definitely more in line with Ssam Bar.

The compost cookie is great -- it has potato chips, pretzels, coffee grounds, chocolate chips, graham crumbs, and butterscotch chips.

By no means is Momofuko noodle bar or Saam bar considered expensive IMHO-but then again I have a pension!
