For breakfast, you could try Ramsey's (several locations around town) OR Winchell's on Southland Drive is one of my favorite breakfast places. What kind of dinner place/price range are you looking for?

For one dinner, we were looking at the Merrick Inn. For the others, we're searching for mid-price restaurants that have good food and service. Portion size isn't extremely important. Thank you.

Here's a link to a previous post that might help:
        Also, has links to restaurants/menus

It really depends on when you will be there...for instance if in April during Keeneland it is a spectacular time with lots of specials throughout the city.
I love Jonathon's at Gratz Park Inn for fancy regional cuisine and Malone's for steak.

I like Jonathan's and Le Deauville, both located dowtown Lexington on the same block. Jonathan's is open for lunch and dinner---LeDauville dinner only, I think.

Ramsey's and Merrick Inn are very good choices.

Worth a drive is Heirloom in Midway KY. Serves lunch and dinner. Stay off the interstate and instead go out on Old Frankfort Road--a nice scenic drive. (Locals please correct me if I've got the name of that road wrong....)
