where to find freshly fried falafel sandwiches in Calgary?

Does anyone know where I can find fresh falafel sandwiches in calgary? By fresh, I mean falafel balls that are fried to order - the way it's supposed to be done. Seems everyone in calgary pre-fries them and then microwaves them when you order.

I know the Jewish cafe across MacLeod from Chinook Mall fries them to order, and they are pretty good, however I'm looking for Palestinean-style (they have a slightly different spice mixture, as well as different veggies/tahini and usually the pite is stuffed instead of rolled)

I wish I knew the answer to that as well. I stopped trying to find them here in Calgary. First time I had them in Calgary I was like...umm why are they taking them out of a container and popping them into the microwave, I couldn't even eat it.

Med Cafe is Israeli, not "Jewish." Big difference.

The only place I can think of where you'd be assured of this is at The Coup. Otherwise we used to ask for freshly-fried at Falafel King but have no idea if that could still be honoured.

i'm talking about The Mediterranean Grill on MacLeod, not Med Cafe. Mediterranean Grill is owned by a Jewish guy, and since religion defines culture in israel, I called it a "Jewish" cafe. I'm sorry if I somehow offended you or your knowledge, but that's all I meant by the comment.

          anyhow, thanks for your suggestions
