Near the Waldorf
Need to be at the Waldorf at 7:00 on a Sat. night in Dec. after having an early dinner. Looking for a good meal within a short walk away. Rather not spend the usual $300 per couple and would probabley choose something other than Italian, since we have such great places we frequent. Any suggestions for good eats and a $200 tab with a couple of drinks OR a reasonaby priced bottle of wine? Would appreciate suggestions.

We always stay at the Benjamin Hotel across from the Waldorf and the Emery Bar inside the hotel has excellent app's and drinks..we didn't need dinner after the ahi and calamari.

Pampano, on 49th St., b/t 2nd & 3rd Avs., serves delicious modern Mexican cuisine with an emphasis on fish and seafood.

I've heard some very positive things about Inside Park, the new restaurant at St. Bart's, which is right across the street from the Waldorf., on Park & 50th Definitely on my "go to" list.
