re: eastcoastgirl_westcoastlife
I swung by the Greedy Pig last night for a few Guinness (they only have it in can).. and a few bites to share. Had the cheese / charcuterie plate - comes with two cheeses and three meats for $18, pickled quail eggs - $3, and roasted bone marrow bones - 3 on plate for $16. Everything was really good. First time for bone marrow so not too sure how to compare it, but it was great. I guess bone marow is bone marrow !! Scoop out the jelly-like goodness and smear it on bread with a sprinking of salt, a few bits of German bacon .. nice ! Also the quail eggs were fantastic - great little snack with beer !! Can't go wrong at $3 !
They don't have a full kitchen - but the chef was also pumping out some good looking sandwiches and other small plates.

I've seen marrow on the menu for Greedy Pig. It's a big part of why I'm dying to go eat there. Mmmm...

Nic: Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!! That is definitely my next lunch spot!!! When we were in NY, I had 2 restaurants planned that I was going to try this, but we never got to one, and the other we ended up at breakfast! I am SO going to the Greedy Pig!
P.S. for anyone interested, the full version of Anthony Bourdain's - No Reservations - Vancouver on YouTube is now available! Bourdain is a "god", to me at least! :-)
