Raw Bar near Columbus Circle - Please help a girl visiting from LA

Came in from Los Angeles; Staying across from the Hudson Hotel. I would love to find a great place for some clams on the half shell, oysters, etc. for lunch tomorrow. Any suggestions? If not, any fun ideas for a girl who just wants some good food, with a little fun tossed in for lunch? Thinking about Russian Tea Room, but way too touristy, and food is just not there. Petrossian is too fancy! Open to all ideas!

Thank You!!

Walk toward 8th Ave. on 58th. Take the C train downtown to Spring St. Come out of subway, walk east about 200 feet (across 6th Ave.) and you are at Aquagrill for Sunday brunch (the best in the city) and their raw bar (the best in the city). should take you 20mins and $2.00 to get there. If I'm alone, I like to sit at the bar and stone crab is in season right now as well. Enjoy.

If you want to walk up a few blocks to 78th and Columbus, Ocean Grill would be great for that.

I don't do raw bars, but the Redeye Grill is not far -- on 7th Av. & 56th St. I've heard that it's a lively, fun place.
