Foie gras quid pro quo...

For my fellow chowhounders, I give you the link to a fascinating talk by Dan Barber on ethical foie gras:

As we know, there's no such thing as a free link. As payback, I need to know whether anyone has seen in a shop or restaurant Pateria de Sousa foie gras, where I can get it, and what the price was.

    I'm with you on this one-I would be on this stuff faster than you can say go so if anyone has any leads that would be great.


    1. A friend of mine had an article in the Globe a couple of weeks ago about it. According to her, it's not commercially available in Canada (although there is a company that ships it in Europe). There is a farm here in Ontario that is producing very small quantities of a similar product for $110/kg.
