New Indian Restaurant coming to Cafe D space in J.P.

Building permit issued earlier this month for the old Cafe D space, 711 Centre Street. The name will be GHAZAL FINE INDIAN CUISINE, per the permit. I've seen work being done inside the space, but don't know when it is supposed to open or if the owners have other area restaurants. And it's about 3 doors down from Bukhara.

Anyone know anything about it?

  1. All I've heard is that it will be Southern Indian Food. Not really being into Indian food, I'm not sure what that means or how it differs from Bukhara.

      Think dosas, idli, wada, etc.

    2. Hi there, It's open today (may have been open yesterday, too). It was empty around 5:30, but smelled great. We went in and grabbed a menu. This is not a South Indian restaurant. They have some South Indian specialities on the menu (dosas, etc), but are also serving North Indian food.

      1. Nice to know, I tried to go to Cafe D a while ago, didn't know it was closed.
