can i bake my apple pie tonight?

Thoughts? Do you think it will it be soggy tomorrow?

  1. Fresh out of the oven is always best as the jucies will tend to sog the bottom crust. I guess you could slightly under cook it and then reheat it, but I'm not sure how it will come out. If the recipe has a drier interior without alot of juice then by all means bake it tonight.

    1. your safest bet is to prepare the crust & filling separately tonight, then assemble & bake tomorrow.

        Absolutely bake it tonight, don't refrigerate it afterwards. Just put it in a cool spot.

          I agree, Trish. We always do ours the day before. Too much going on on the day to worry about pie too. It's never soggy. Sits out on the table overnight.

        2. Yes. When I have leftover apple pie, I cover it and put it in a cool spot. It still tastes great the next day.
