It's still there (at least it was as of last week!). I had no idea about the coupons until I saw this thread. The chocolates are great, though I think not as ultra fresh as the ones from her store downtown - but still, very very good. I work a few buildings down from HSBC and have to deliberately try to forget the stand is so close otherwise I'd be there every week.

The stand is still here. The coupons were just through december 31st. it was bad though, i think ate about 40 pieces of chocolate in the 2 week period after I noticed and started using the coupons.

Yep, still there. Yesterday, I grabbed a couple of chocolates and a white truffle macaroon. Decent amount of offerings.

This is one of the most interesting (yet foreboding) bit of news I've heard in a long time. It's a brilliant idea as everything is about convenience in Manhattan but ... well... WOW. Anyway, I am wondering about the extent to which this exists throughout the city and would love to see a list of vendors (or planned vendors). Is it limited to just HSBC? There's a large branch up here on the UWS. I gotta take a peak.

I don't think this would work in a normal bank branch due to the security /space issues. This setup works because it's in the large open lobby area and that area is normally open to everyone anyway.

Thanks so much for the tip! I went by to pick up some chocolates for my thanksgiving host, and was pleasantly surprised to find quite a large selection about about 2 dozen chocolates and a dozen or so macaron flavors. Same pricing as the soho store, and a whole lot closer to me.

I think I have the answer. Someone at the HSBC branch said they have to lease space to someone else other than themselves or they get a monthly fine, which explains the SBUX stand on the 40th St side and now the chocolate stand on the 5th ave side.

Yes, it's very strange. They placed it right next to the tellers. It's a small refrigerated case/counter set up.
