Doylestown

Cafe America and Smokin' Lils, any comments on those places? From the websites they look yummy and reasonably priced.

This actually made me hungry for Cafe America, and I went there for dinner tonight. I had the potato pancakes, as well as chicken and cheese taquitos. They have a really good house guacamole there.

I really like Cafe America. I go there every once in awhile for a quick meal. I love the potato pancakes there, which are made partly with sweet potatoes, and served on top of black beans.

Smokin Lil's I haven't had a chance to try yet, but I've heard good things about it.

At Smokin' Lil's I love the smoked brisket. They make a good sandwich with it, on thick, hand-slliced white bread with onion, bbq sauce, and sweet pickles. They have Mexican Coke, too!

I love Smokin' Lils ribs, pork barbecue, smoked turkey sandwich, and their wings are awesome (dry rubbed, smoked, and then deep fried to order). I agree with ChefRich on the sides- didn't much care for the mac and cheese and mashed sweet potato. Coleslaw good though.

If I were going to one of the places, I'd choose Smokin' Lils because good barbecue is so hard to come by in the Philly area.

I'll go there then cuz good BBQ (or any, for that matter) is hard to find in the Hamilton area and same goes for Mexican. Too bad about the Mac &Ch--I'm a big fan but also love good cole slaw...thanks for the tips.

Smokin Lils has the most incredible ribs and their brisket and cornbread are good too. If getting take-out I would not order sides as they were really expensive. The ribs and platters were very reasonably priced.

Doylestown is kind of a hike for me--so it's going to be difficult to choose!

              Thanks,
Ribs and brisket are always what I order! Looking forward to trying them out!
