Restaurante Luigino's - closing?

It's been at 12th and H for 17 years, and now I've read that the Marzanos might be closing up on January 5th. Any other word? http://www.luigino.com/

Yes. Closed. Saw the sign in December and was quite sad. They were good. Hadn't seen the bankruptcy but wondered why. It is a mostly lunch location despite the big Marriott across the street. It's a shame.

I work around the corner - never saw more than 3 tables full, tops.

maybe it was a tourist spot with the hotel(s), but everyone here at work really dislikes it...

but, sorry to see a business lost.

When do you go by? At lunch time, they're packed! At dinner it's a fair amount quieter - not much in that vicinity.

I thought the menu was pricy for a simple lunch, but when I worked around the corner, a sandwich or pizza at the bar was an occasional treat. Everything I had there was quite good.

Are they just retiring or are there money/rent etc problems?
