Actually, all the tables, chairs, kitchen equipment and fixtures are in. The place looks almost ready to open. I would suspect Scott will want to be up and running as soon as possible - least with a soft opening - and certainly well before Mardi Gras. Back in the kitchen, we saw several fry stations and along the bar there are a couple of old-fashioned soda fountain fixtures, so we're guessing it's going to be a diner-like concept. Stay tuned, it can't be much longer.

As of yesterday afternoon they still had a sign out at the north corner of Jackson Square, but the space was unoccupied and didn't appear to be undergoing any active renovations or other work.
I'm assuming it's stalled for the moment, not sure why they would tie up such a prime (and expensive) space if they were planning on moving elsewhere.
