Chocolomo: offal soup from the Yucatan

Interested to hear if anyone has had this saturday night special stew made from freshly butchered offal - brain, heart, kidneys. I had seen it in the mission dist of San Francisco with Eat Nopal. Anywhere else is it offered in the US? What was it like?

  1. It's on the menu of El Rinconcito Yucateco in Santa Rosa, CA. The menu description just said caldo de res, so I didn't ask about it or order it.

    1. Never had it, but what a lusciously beautiful name for a dish :-)
