Southern Family w/teens looking for traditional Thanksgiving Dinner in NYC
We are a very southern family with two kids (girl 12 & boy 16) coming to NYC for seven days over Thanksgiving. We are looking for a restaurant to have a traditional Thanksgiving Dinner at. I need your help! Something Paula Deen style if I may! Any help would be awesome! We are staying close to the UN but will be in CP area for the Parade.
I would love options for the entire week. My husband and 16 year old are meat and potato guys....not very adventurous. We went to Carmines four years ago....no kids....and absolutely loved it! Are budgeting for meals in the $100 to $150 range.
I always love the View Restaurant in Times Sq at the Marriot Marquis Hotel-u will be in the heart of the parade-I love this place cause there is something for everyone-but my favorite is thier turkey-something so delicious in the way they make it. The whole restaurant revolves-kids will love-not uber gourmet but great!! Hint-due to the traffic and crowds-i recommend u take subway to 42nd St (Times Sq) and walk as far west to 8th avenue then to 45 or 46th street-you can then watch as much of parade going by when u head towards Broadway and the hotel is located on Broadway between 45th and 46th St

You might try searching through Open Table. I believe they list all the restaurants that are open that day and you can look up menus on menupages.com.
Good luck and enjoy your stay.

close to traditional and learning a bit of a new culture, Molyvos (which is a Greek Restaurant) in midtown, is doing Thanksgiving a la Grec. Great food, great location, very warm friendly restaurant. You will not be disappointed.

Cibo at 2nd Ave and 40th Street is doing traditional Thanksgiving Dinner along with other selections. It's a little less expensive than you budgeted, but a lovely neighborhood place within walking distance of where you're staying. Check out their holiday menu at:

You Guys are GREAT!! I knew that I could count on ya! Thanks for all of the tips. Has anyone ever heard of Sylvia's Soul Food in Harlem? I thought that I wanted to go there but after reading the reviews wasn't sure. If anyone has been recently, please give me an update. Thanks a million, guys!
