Jackson, MS- Need a country ham!

I am in search of a country ham- Smithfield or Gwaltney brands preferred. Usually I can find one somewhere by now, but this year no luck! I am looking for whole ham- salt cured, etc.- the kind that is usually found hanging in a muslin bag in the meat department. Thanks in advance for any help!

Hey, Clarkafella! In case you want to get a country ham this year, I spotted some at the Kroger in Brandon this evening. They only had four or five. Sorry, I did not note the brand.

Thank you for remembering, but this year we will be in Miami, and can find them easily down there. In fact, my brother in law even does the cooking so all I have to do is eat!

Did you check with the Piggly Wiggly in Brandon? Sometimes they have them. I would also call Ramey's in Brandon.

Good idea! I will check both tomorrow! So far I've tried Kroger, Sam's, Walmart, Fresh Market, McDade's, Brookshire's, the grocery in Ridgeland, Williamson Brothers in Philadelphia, and a few others with no luck!
